I started with a blank journal page added some texture with modeling paste and stencil. While the modeling paste was still wet sprinkle on embossing powder, not everywhere just in serveral spots. Just a little accent. Heat set.
Add some color. I used Lindy's color spray but not as a spray, I use a paint brush to splatter color onto page around texture, next spray with water to move color around. While the page is still wet I add some more color, this blends in and I don't need anymore water.
Here's a close up, fun eh? Sounds better when you say eh with a Canadian Accent.
Next doodle around texture circles with a black pen.
The final page. I added random stamping around photo cluster and accent cluster. I needed a little more pop of color so I used Lindy's purple color spray around cluster and accent cluster.
I also added microbeads along clusters. The doily and lace edge were cut out of paper with my silhouette.
I really like white space and this is one of my favorite spots on the page, you can see techniques i used to create the background but nothing is overwhelming.
Close up of chipboard piece Hanging Lantern, also can see microbeads added around cluster. My ink smeared from the water should have used statz on.
This was a quick layout today, sometimes that's the way things go, I am working on another layout for days now but it's not coming together at all. Argh
Today was a snow day here in Cold Lake -42 celsius with the wind chill, what a perfect day for me to scrapbook and Alex played video games.
This is really pretty! I use my Silhouette machine to do the same sort of thing that you did with the doily... I also do homemade chipboard pieces on my layouts by using watercolor or mixed media paper and glue two or three identical pieces together. That silhouette machine has been very convenient :-)
