Hearts, sparkle, pops of color is what i see, but i went in a steampunk detour.
I did a mechanical heart, this is a new piece i designed it has a base layer, middle layer and top layer. (more on that later)
So not happy smoochy love heart, but mechanical steampunk actual heart. Like i said steampunk detour.
I started with 8.5" x 5.5" mixed media cardstock. Adhered some cheesecloth with gesso, love the texture you get with cheesecloth. I love texture but i don't like flowers and flowers can give you a lot of texture so i am always looking for some other product I can use- cheesecloth, yarn, wire etc..
Added some more texture with modeling paste and a stencil, then lindy's for color both magical and sprays. To highlight the stencil i rubbed with inka gold- champagne color. Not in this picture but ink with distress ink whole postcard with ground expresso, and around the edges with black statz on.
Now here is what the mechanical heart looks like all layered together this new design is available on my etsy store. I also added a foam heart (I cut it to have a flat back) then cut the gears into the foam heart. (The foam heart isn't included in chipboard package) Painted the whole thing with white heavy gesso.
Some close ups next.
Alright i have to say it this close up looks like a vagina. I am blunt.
So I noticed i now have 50 followers- whoo hoo that was my goal for the end of 2016 and I am going to call it a win we are only 19 days into 2017.
I have added 7 new designs to my etsy store- BoozyBear and will be adding/ revealing more tomorrow. Have a great day.
