CUSTOM ALBUM

Finished another custom album, this one was for a friend of mine and all the pictures were her husbands family.  These are outstanding pictures some of them from russia, and one was actually taken in china when they were fleeing russia.  These are my favorite two layout- they are not super elaborate layouts but you can't get too dimensional when making an album with 20 pages i need to make sure everything fits.  But it is not just the layouts i love it is the pictures i love how old they are and i especially love the one older picture by itself she looks so regal and grand
this one uses pink paislee resist paper that i inked with black soot and red barn distress ink matted on cream cardstock.  Used glitz paper misted with water and crunched into ruffes layered on top of one another
and finished with brads.  The top left corner of the picture i wanted to represent the head dress from russian traditional dance.
My favorite, isn't this picture amazing!  For this layout i created a background pattern using pattern paper and cardstock, i repeat the pattern on the background paper but don't fill the whole sheet instead make it random- this makes it more eye catching and creates a picture clutter.  Finish with inking and sewing flowers and hinges.

dexter

i have discovered DEXTER i am watching it on netflix as i scrapbook for the graphic 45 design team call.  It is really kind of a dark drama but very addicting.  where have i been?  did you know there are 6 seasons?
A serial killer who kills only bad people really bad people so you like him but hate him at the same time hes like a good bad guy. recommend-not for the queasy!

NEW LAYOUT- kaisercraft Sweet nothing,
used prima brick wall template ink with distress ink, and i believe sprayed with some glimmer mist, next cut out the brick formed by the template to make a whole in the brick wall for the picture to go behind.  Used scrap fx brick chipboard cut it up of course because i need to cut up everything, layered on top, fuzzy cut the cherub, and birdcage from weet nothings paper, layered with flowers, and kaiser craft wood flourish.  The top right corner is another piece of sweet nothing paper ripped and inked then used liquid pearls to highlight the detail in the paper.
