I found this flip album online at http://creativecafegirl.blogspot.ca/ and just had to create one. I used Simple stories Documented Line then tons of embellishments i am in love with the final product.
Hinged on both sides and opens like double doors.
Used Scrap FX gate, prima vines, 7 gypsies metal corners, Tim Holtz filmstrip, clip hinge, gears, spinners and die cuts, art parts pocket watch. I used crackle accents for inside of the pocket watch and stampendous aged taupe embossing enamel for lock. This is my new favorite product it has several color enamels mixed together and when heat they blend to create a worn, weathered look.
Flip open the doors
Beacuse of the flips you decorated both front and backs. On the back of cover doors used Tim holtz envelope, hinge, key, and butterfly die cut. The butterfly are cut out sticky back canvas sprayed with color wash and glimmer mist then dry embossed and finished with platinum stickles for there bodies. Also used stickles on chipboard clock from dusty attic, then aged taupe embossing enamel on chipboard pieces. Additional accents are fragments stained with alcohol inks, tim holtz file tabs and simple stories journalling elements. The journaling card flip open so you can add multiple pictures.
Next flip
Usedthe same elements again to decorate, chipboard, fragments, file tabs, corners, and cut paper with a combinations of embossing enamel, and stickcles for added effect. The page on the left is a file folder held close with twine and hitch post when opened it reveals multiple spots for photos and journalling. On the opposite page is also flip pages for pictures. To make pages flip easily i score them before i adhere. The banner is made with sticky back canvas, i stick the iamge i want to be seen to the sticky back make sure it stuck good then wet with water and slowly rub off paper, as you rub off the layers of paper the pattern stuck to the sticky back become visible but worn and weathered, then i fray the edges.
Next flip
I think this is my favorite page just because i love love gears and always need and excuse to use them. Here i have layered chipboard gears, some raw chipboard, others covered with stickles or embossed with metal gears for different textures and colors. The tag pulls out for any pics and journalling.
The center pages again open like double doors. I decorated then as one piece then cut down the center so they can be opened but when closed are a complete layout.
The final page. On the backside of double doors i want to add 5'x7' pictures of my husband and son so i left these undecorated. Then more clocks and gears two things you can never have enough of. For pics and journalling the tag pulls out then there is a double flip folder the first flip is down
and the second flip is across.
There you have it my flip flip album. I hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoyed making it.
