October Afternoon-Farmhouse paper collection
LOVE LOVE THIS PAPER COLLECTION- it has that old feel to it but is still bright and bold colors and reminds me of grandma wallpaper.
So i designed two layout for my living room, so they matchy but aren't too matchy matchy. I don't like things to be too matchy matchy. They both have the same idea of creating an interesting detailed background, using stitching and making a background pattern with paper, and of course both use chipboard but i have to have chipboard in every layout i do a layout is not complete without chipboard!!!
I start my making the background- i like to layer several pieces of paper together first- distressing and inking paper- usually make inside paper 0.25" smaller around all sides, sew them together, i don't attempt to make straight lines instead wavy and use differnt stitches to add more interest. On layout A i used the chicken wire chipboard also as a template and used a combination of glimmer mist and perfect pearl mist to create the background pattern. On both i created another pattern by cutting paper into A- honeycomb B- argyl distress and ink edges, i don't like a complete pattern so i remove some sections makes it look older and worn, sew on, now layer everything on top.
My other favorite from these layouts is i didn't use the chicken wire as a full piece instead ripped it apart and layered on top in corners- i don' believe you should every be afraid to rip materials there is no law that says you need to use in their as is shape!!!

Graphic 45 Layout
Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue- super fun line with lots of bold colors but also neutrals that is great for layering. The paper also has great patterns that can be fussy cut out for embellishments on the page- angel fish, beach label, and stamps. Finishing touches with Graphic 45 chipboard tags, and prima flowers
